If you haven’t picked up a copy of blues-rockers The Black Keys’ rap album, Blackroc, you might want to wait a little bit longer. It sounds as though they’ll be releasing a deluxe version with at least 6 new songs.

Dan Auerbach of the band told The Wedge host Damian Abraham during an interview backstage at the MMVAs, where they performed on Sunday, “I don’t think we’re gonna do another but we might release, like, an expanded [edition]. Because there is a lot of stuff that should see the light of day.”

The original record features artists like A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, RZA, Raekwon, and a few more. Vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach didn’t exactly tell us who will be featured on updated release, but he did mention Andre 3000 and Ghostface Killah as two artists he would love to work with. So if that’s any hint at what kind of talent they’ll be featuring – we have a lot to look forward to.

The Black Keys have been steadily releasing albums for the last decade. Since 2008 they’ve released Attack & Release (2008), Blakroc (2009), and Brothers (2010).
